Join or Renew Membership

The Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society is the professional association for osteopathic physicians practicing in Illinois. Our members represent various osteopathic medical specialties working in a variety of health settings across Illinois. Discounts are available for physicians in their early years of practice and membership is free for students.

There are two (2) ways to join or pay your dues:

  • Online: It’s very easy to join/renew online. Simply enter the required information into the online membership form – including payment depending on your registration type – and click submit.
  • Download a membership application (2021 form is same for 2022)

Membership Categories

Active Membership
Doctors of Osteopathy or Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) who are graduates of AOA-approved osteopathic colleges and hold a license in good standing to practice medicine in Illinois.

YEARS IN PRACTICE ANNUAL DUES
1st Year $50
2nd Year $145
3rd Year $245
4 or more years $435

Postgraduate
For graduates of AOA-approved osteopathic colleges who are in AOA or dually-accredited postgraduate training programs in the State of Illinois.
Annual Dues: $25

Student
For students at AOA approved osteopathic colleges.
Annual Dues: Free

Retired
Open to osteopathic physicians who have retired.
Annual Dues: $44

Associate
For individuals from corporations, financial entities or other business entities. Not available for DOs or residents. Non-voting member.
Annual Dues: $55

Professional
For non-osteopathic physicians, teachers, researchers, administrators and other professionals. Not available for DOs or residents. Non-voting member.
Annual Dues: $435


By joining IOMS, you grant permission for us to contact you via mail, email, or telephone with announcements of programs, events, and other information of importance to our members. You may opt out of receiving such notifications by contacting us at ioms@ioms.org. Occasionally, IOMS may provide mailing information to third parties for announcements on programs, products or services we feel may be of interest to our members. IOMS never shares email or phone information with outside parties. IOMS membership is from October 1-September 30. Dues may be deductible as a business expense. Consult your tax advisor for additional information. IOMS estimates that the nondeductible portion of your dues which is allocated to lobbying is 0% (none) as the IOMS does not currently engage in lobbying activities.
